Here are a few classic images of our Nullabor crossing journey. It was largely uneventful but for a few roadside stops and we spent one (very expensive) night at the Nullabor roadhouse itself.
The thought of how much easier travel is today (with decent vehicles, air conditioning, paved roads etc.) reminds me to be more grateful for this opportunity. The road was a teensy bit boring. Although watching the foliage alter as we made our way across was interesting. At times completely treeless with small scrubby plants or none at all, the soil went from sandy to rich red.
